About

Who publishes this site, and who teaches the diplomas

Two different parties stand behind what you read here. One writes the site and answers your questions; the other delivers, assesses and certifies the programmes. This page keeps them apart.

Part one

Who publishes this site

LearnLoom Consultants is an independent recruitment agent for London School of Planning and Management (LSPM), the OTHM and Qualifi approved centre that delivers, assesses and certifies the programmes described on this site. This site is published by the agent and is not operated by LSPM, OTHM or Qualifi. Applications are made directly to LSPM, and LSPM pays the agent a fee when a learner it introduces enrols.

level7diploma.org is published by LearnLoom Consultants, with its office at Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR. We are an education consultancy, not a college: we are not employed by LSPM, we are not part of any school or awarding organisation, and we hold no approval from OTHM or Qualifi ourselves. Our work is to explain Level 7 diplomas accurately, to help a manager or an employer decide whether one is worth their time and money, and, when they want to go ahead, to introduce them to LSPM's admissions team.

The person responsible for the content of this site and for answering enquiries is Education adviser, LearnLoom Consultants, Education adviser, LearnLoom Consultants.

Other sites we publish: level4diploma.org, level5diploma.org, level6diploma.org and level8diploma.org. Each covers a different level of the Regulated Qualifications Framework and each carries the same disclosure you have just read.

How we are paid

LSPM pays us a fee when a learner we introduce enrols. You pay nothing extra for using this site or for speaking to us: the fees you are quoted are LSPM's own published fees, and they are the same whether you arrive through this site or approach LSPM directly. Because we are paid on enrolment, every link from this site to LSPM is marked as a commercial link. We have no other financial relationship with any awarding body, university or employer named or implied on the site.

What we do not do

  • We do not teach, tutor or run seminars on any programme.
  • We do not mark assignments, give academic feedback or decide resubmissions.
  • We do not admit anyone: LSPM reviews every application against the awarding body's entry requirements and makes the decision.
  • We do not register learners with OTHM or Qualifi, and we do not issue or influence certificates.
  • We do not set, discount or collect fees, and we cannot promise instalment terms or sponsorship arrangements on LSPM's behalf.

Part two

Who delivers the programmes

London School of Planning and Management (LSPM) runs every Level 7 programme listed here as OTHM and Qualifi's approved centre. The legal entity is [LSPM legal entity name], company number [LSPM company number]. Its London address, telephone and admissions email are in the panel on this page; its public site is www.lspm.org.uk.

An approved centre is the organisation an awarding body has inspected and authorised to run its qualifications. In practice that means LSPM registers you with OTHM or Qualifi, provides the tutors and the teaching, sets and marks the assignments against the awarding body's criteria, presents a sample of marked work for external verification, and requests your certificate from the awarding body when you pass. The awarding body, not LSPM and not LearnLoom Consultants, issues the certificate. Your contract for the course, your fees and your academic record all sit with LSPM in London.

You can confirm LSPM's approved status on the OTHM and Qualifi centre-verification pages; the awarding bodies page explains how.

Method

How this information is produced

The hard facts on each programme page (title, awarding body, Ofqual number, credits, TQT and GLH, the unit list with its credit split, and the entry wording) are taken from the awarding body's published specification and checked against the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications. The specification is linked from every programme page and the Ofqual number is shown so that you can check the register yourself. We refresh these facts from the source each term and note the review date in the footer.

The prose is ours. It draws on reading the specifications closely, on what LSPM's admissions team tells us about how applications and progression work in practice, and on what learners we have introduced report back afterwards. We do not reproduce awarding body marketing text, we do not publish testimonials until a named person has consented in writing, and we do not name universities until LSPM holds a signed progression agreement we have seen. Where we describe how LSPM teaches or assesses, we describe what the specification requires and what LSPM has told us; where we cannot know its internal practice, the page says so and asks you to confirm with LSPM.

If you find an error, Use Enquiry form. We will correct it and keep a note of the correction.

Why

Why this site exists

Managers considering postgraduate study are often told one of two untruths: that a Level 7 diploma is the same as a master's, or that it is worthless next to one. Neither is right, and the people who most need an accurate answer, working managers weighing cost and time against a real career decision, and the employers funding them, are poorly served by websites that shout. This site exists to describe LSPM's Level 7 diplomas precisely, to explain the route to a master's with its caveats given equal weight, and to send LSPM only the applicants for whom the programme is a sound choice. If it is not right for you, we would rather the site helped you see that quickly.
